TraceDSA uses browser local storage and minimal session cookies for two straightforward purposes:
A. Interface preferences (Local Storage)
When you pick a color theme (like Warm Sand or Bone) or adjust sidebar width, we store that choice in your browser's local storage. That way, the visualizer opens with your preferred layout next time.
B. Anonymized performance & analytics
We use basic analytics to understand which algorithm visualizers are visited most often and to identify broken links. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
3. What we do not do
We do not use:
- Third-party advertising cookies.
- Cross-site retargeting pixels.
- Social media tracking beacons.
4. How to manage or clear cookies
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. You can also configure your browser to block third-party cookies by default. The core algorithm visualizers on TraceDSA will continue to work normally even if you disable cookies.
